What is the Matatag Curriculum?

The Department of Education launched the MATATAG Curriculum as a recalibrated K to 10 curriculum under the K to 12 program. Below is the MATATAG Agenda
  • MAke the curriculum relevant to produce job-ready, active, and responsible citizens​
  • TAke steps to accelerate the delivery of basic education services and provision facilities​
  • TAke good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusiveness learning, and positive learning environment​
  • Give support for teachers to teach better

What are the objectives of the MATATAG Curriculum?​


  • To decongest the overcrowded curriculum that resulted in compromised fundamental skills among learners
  • To make learning competencies age-appropriate and properly sequenced in terms of progression
  • To strengthen foundational skills like literacy and numeracy, and intensify values formation among learners

How do you join Canva for Education?


​Joining Canva for Education is easy. All you need to do is visit the Canva for Education website and click on the “Sign up” button in the top right corner. You’ll be asked to enter your school email address, and then follow the prompts to create an account. Is Canva for Education free to use?


Yes! Canva for Education is free to use for all educators and students! The Canva for Education platform provides educators with access to resources such as templates, design tutorials, and other tools to help their students create engaging and creative projects. It also provides access to an unlimited range of royalty-free images, videos, and other elements to help create projects. So if you're an educator looking for a great way to engage your students in the classroom, Canva for Education is a great resource to use!

Canva for Education provides a suite of helpful features for teachers and students. It offers a library of templates to help design course materials such as posters, flyers, and presentations, as well as more creative tools for creating illustrations, logos, and other visuals. Canva for Education also provides customizable templates for online courses, integration with Google Classroom, and access to a variety of learning resources.

What are the different types of projects you can create with Canva for Education?


​With Canva for Education, you can create all sorts of projects from posters to presentations to infographics, book covers, and more! For example, you can create a poster to advertise an upcoming event, create a presentation to showcase a project, or create an infographic to communicate data visually. You can also create worksheets, quizzes, flashcards, certificates, brochures, and book covers. With Canva for Education, the possibilities are endless!

Does Canva for Education offer any support or training?


​Yes, Canva for Education offers a variety of support options and training resources for teachers. You can find more information about their support options on their website, including a dedicated help center, online tutorials, and live chat support. They also offer online training sessions and webinars so you can learn how to make the most of Canva for Education in your classroom.

Can you sell resources you've made using Canva for Education?

No. You cannot sell resources you create using Canva for Education. 

You need to sign up with a Canva Pro account to be able to sell the resources you made. Sign up for a 30-day free Canva Pro account using this link. Make sure to check out Canva's terms of service and copyright policy to make sure you are following all the necessary guidelines.

Can you sell templates downloaded from Canva?


​A big NO. Canva's terms of service state that you cannot sell any items you create with their templates. With this, it is strongly encouraged to design from scratch so that they will be your own creation. Note that all content (photos, videos, graphics, elements, stickers, fonts, backgrounds) available in the library is licensed under Canva's Content License Agreement.

Change the font styles and texts. Translate them to your language. Does Sylph Creatives earn by sharing Canva-made resources?


​Thank you for asking and yes, I do earn by sharing my templates. As of this writing, when you download a template from my Canva profile, I get to earn (drum roll please) ...1 cent (0.01 USD). When you use an image, I get to earn as well (around 0.003 USD). These amounts may get smaller in time because it all depends on the royalty pool.
